Futsal awards Sutherland Shire 19-Mar-10 by J Simnett Club Menai hosted the 2nd Annual Presentation Dinner Friday 19th March 2010 to celebrate success of 2009 - 2010 season for the Sutherland Shire at local, State, National and International level. Senior Goal Keeper of the Year; Peter Keflas Individual awards were also presented to each Player, Coach and Manager on the night from under 9s to Mens and Womens. Also on the night it was announced that the Sutherland Shire Futsal Association has signed an agreement with the Australian Sports Commission to develop Futsal in local Schools of the region. Accolade was given to FNSW award winners our 14 boys team as Champions of the 2009 - 2010 FNSW Futsal Super League along with Emily Eve 14 Girls Goal Keeper of the Year, Joshua Collins Opens Mens Goal Keeper of the Year, Troy Ruthven Youth Mens Golden Boot and FNSW Club Person of the Year - Sutherland Jim Apostolovski. The evening celebrated at National level that the Sutherland Shire had 29 players represent NSW and at International level the thanks was extended to our Open Mens team and Coach Grahame Wick who represented the Sutherland Shire successfully in Vanuatu.
