Futsal Champions League @ ESHS 15-Dec-08 by J Simnett Thursday 11th December 2008 saw the semis and grand final played at Endeavour Sports High School Caringbah.
Semi final 1, Milan vs. 3 out of 3. A tight game, hard fought end to end stuff. Milan had finished the competition undefeated. The most improved team of the competition was 3 out of 3. These guys had developed very well as a team as well individually. The final score was 4-3 Milan (Win) Semi final 2, Dream team vs. Manchester United. The fancied Dream team had a challenge on their hands when taking on the small in stature but very well drilled & skilful outfit of Man U. The Man U players took very well to the game from the start as the dream team got settled into the match. The game was fair and very competitive all the way to the end. The final score was 1-2 Manchester United (Win) Grand final, Milan vs. Manchester United. Some expected the final to be Milan vs. Man U, our very own UEFA Futsal Champions League match up. The game was played with high intensity; overall the standard on display was exceptional. End to end excitement with amazingly high class goals from both teams. Thanks also to the Referees Salma Aly & David Myers. The final score was 3-4 Manchester United (Win)
Grand Final Winning Team Manchester United Cameron ‘Chi Chi’ Apostolovski, Matthew Lemich, Mitchell Georgievski, Marko Aleksic, Patrick Stefadouros, James Temelakovski.
